Math Kits: Lending Library Spotlight

With all the amazing science kits in the Lending Library, not many people think to look for math kits. However, since the “M” in STEM stands for math, the Lending Library is stocked with kits for all ages of math students. All these kits are ready and waiting for students to use them. Feel free to put in a reservation by clicking the buttons below!

Clever Catches are amazing ways to get students active while still learning math. These kits are inflatable balls that can be thrown around the room. Littered with questions, students catch the ball and must answer the question that is under their left thumb. It’s a fun way to make math an interactive activity. The Lending Library is stocked with Clever Catches for Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and Probability and Statistics.

The ETA Money Basics Currency Set is a great way to teach counting, addition, and subtraction. Students will be able to improve their math skills while also learn how to work with money and make change. Our set includes plastic pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, and dollars to teach math.

Finally, our Melissa and Doug Abacuses are amazing ways to teach addition, subtraction, and multiplication. Abacus learning is one of the best ways to improve arithmetic skills and number fluency because it teaches the concepts of math rather than relying on memorization. Students as young as five can start with these fun counting beads.

All of these amazing kits are waiting in the Lending Library right now for an educator to check them out. Come by and see us!
